Originally DJing in the 1990s at local venues and parties, Lars started out by playing the rave tracks he loved to dance to.  After taking a break from the vinyl scene to start a family he moved into the digital side of the industry and reignited his passion for music in 2010. 

Playing funky dance, house and disco at venues wherever his travels took him, as far and wide as Los Angeles and Sydney. 

In 2018 he took himself back to school and joined the alumni at the London Sound Academy to finesse his skills behind the decks and graduated at Elite level.  Since then, Lars has played at many events in the world-famous Ministry of Sound and other great venues in both the UK and overseas, as well as local Essex events such as Sun of a Beach and Love Sensation.  His passion for skiing, often allows Lars to take his music to the mountains for Apres Ski sessions in the Alps.

Lars has played on many radio stations over time, more latterly in 2020 he became a resident DJ at FunkySX.  His musical flavour is always funky, and with the influences of the 70’s and 80’s music he grew up with you can often hear Lars drop in samples of the past to add a smile to your face and a certain je ne sais quoi. 

The energy is always high, in Lars’ sets, and the smiles aplenty because after all ‘it’s all about the funky’.
