Euan Bass

Music and especially DJ’ing has been Euan’s Life, from his first gig at Billericay Rugby Club, to his current position as a presenter on FunkySX 103.7FM & DAB. Euan has to be one of the most versatile DJ’s in the UK. 

In the 1980’s working mainly at Essex venues such as Raquels, The Old Windmill, The Goldmine, Chesters, The New Yorker, Zero 6, at events like Options, The Hadleigh Suite, he was playing Soul, Boogie Jazz Hip-Hop & Rare Groove on a weekly basis. In the 90’s he was the DJ & Manager at two of the Best House Music & Rave clubs Essex had at the time, The Workshop in Basildon and Southend’s Mr B’s before deciding to venture into a different musical path, and entertained to a more mainstream audience.  

In 2018 Euan was voted wedding DJ of the year and in 2020 was presented with the prestigious “Outstanding contribution to DJing” Award by ProMobile Magazine.

In recent years the call of his first love was too much and returned to dance music with stints on soul music radio stations Zero Radio, JFSR, Stomp & Mi-House & Mi-Soul Radio.

Euan is a regular at Many House and Soul Music events including The Margate Soul Festival, Soul Fiesta, Soul Lounge , The Brighton Alldayer & Weekender and for the last two year played on the Mi-Soul stage at The Suncebeat Festival in Croatia and hosted the main stage at The Soundclash Soul & Funk Weekender in Margate. in 2024 Euan has been included on the DJ lineup for the Butlins Ultimate 80’s Weekenders.

 In recent years Euan has been lucky to share the stage and warm up with the following Norman Jay MBE, Judge Jules, David Rodigan, Brandon Block, Danny Rampling, SlipMatt, Michael Gray, Huey Morgan, Craig Charles, Kool & The Gang, Kenny Thomas and Oscar & Simon from Ocean Colour Scene to name a few.

 Euan does two things, he puts smiles on faces and their feet on the dancefloor to create one hell of a party.
