Dan comes from a family of DJ’s & was first introduced to House & Garage music in 1989 at the age of 9 by his older brother Joe. Watching him practise with his new records for Pirate Radio & Clubs.

By the time Dan was 17 he already had a record collection & started doing pirate radio shows & working in the clubs, landing his first booking at the local nightclub, where he started running the first UK Garage themed nights in his area. Bringing the bubbling new London scene down to his side of Kent, late 90’s. This is where Dan made a name for himself as a UK Garage DJ, playing the Garage circuit in kent/London, when UK Garage music was at the peak of its popularity. Playing on the big nights including Garage Nation alongside UK Garage Royalty.

When Garage music fell out of popularity in the clubs, Dan was already established as a talented Club DJ & continued to take club bookings for RnB, Hip Hop & House Music. This expanded Dan’s mixing skills & ability to create energy with his sets & connect people with music week in week out.

Dan later set up a DJ business offering his unique skills to couples looking for something different for their wedding day! His DJ business was voted a finalist at the Kent wedding awards 2023/24.  

Dan Specialist is a multi-format DJ with a passion for UK Garage.

He plays any style of music & works with crowd reaction. With 30 years of DJ experience, Dan has the ability to fill the dance floor & provide memorable nights.
